I started my garden design studies at Writtle College and have many years experience working as a garden designer. I attained a diploma in organic gardening and a certificate in soil management. I am also an RHS volunteer, forming part of the purple team at the RHS Chelsea Flower show in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. I am (slowly) studying for my RHS Level 2 qualification.

A front garden project I designed and implemented in 2017 won Chelmsford City Councils ‘Best Sustainable Garden’ award.

More recently I have been working with a local community group, ‘Grassroots Westcliff’ to improve our local green spaces. We successfully built and planted a pocket park at the entrance to Westcliff on Sea train station in 2023. So far in 2024, we have updated and improved another community green space, with three more projects in the pipeline for this year. The committee works tirelessly to secure funding through grants and fundraising and we have developed a wonderful relationship with Southend Council Parks Department. As of February 2024 we have over 250 member and counting!
